Life at Visium has its rhythms. Some days we're deep in projects and solving complex challenges together, other days, we’re debating whether pineapple belongs on pizza or who’s the fastest runner on the team. Most days, it’s a bit of both.

And once a year, we get to take this mix out of the office. This summer, it brought us all the way to Italy, where the whole team gathered for our annual offsite. It’s the one week when we replace Slack threads with real conversations, colleagues from different countries finally sit side by side, and the energy that usually powers our projects gets channeled into something a little different.

Strategy, but make it fun

Our days usually started the same way: we’d gather in a big room, coffee cups in hand, and dive into strategy sessions and workshops. On paper, that might sound heavy, but in practice, it felt more like an open conversation than a lecture.

The team shared lessons from past projects, debated what worked (and what didn’t), and wasn’t shy about asking the uncomfortable questions. It was a chance to peek behind the curtain and see what our colleagues have been tackling this year. At one point, a slide would spark a serious discussion, and the next moment, someone would crack a joke that had the whole room laughing.

We also spent some time talking about the bigger picture, like where the company is headed, the vision for the next few years, and how our AI solutions and Agentic AI Platform fit into that journey. There were conversations about the pace of the AI industry, what’s on the horizon, and how we want to stay ahead of it while keeping our own values at the core.

Maybe the best part of these sessions was that everyone was clear on the fact that, at Visium, strategy isn’t a memo from leadership. We all write this story together and have a chance to be part of the decisions that set our direction.

Bonding, brainstorming, and a lot of carbs

Our afternoons had a bit of a different pace. We shifted into hands-on sessions and team activities. One of the main highlights was a cooking class, where we tried our hand at making pasta and pastries. Some of us were surprisingly skilled, others… less so, but the real win was sitting down afterwards for a long lunch together.

The Visium team gathered, reading the recipe as they're about to make pastries and pasta.

Of course, all of this wouldn’t be complete without the Visium Olympics, our yearly tradition that’s equal parts competition and comedy. Teams came up with strategies, balanced their way through challenges, and sprinted across fields with way more intensity than anyone expected. It was loud, messy, and the perfect reminder that collaboration works just as well outside of projects as it does inside them.

Beyond the annual offsite

While Global Week is certainly a highlight of the year, it’s not the only way we nurture our culture. We believe that the best teams are built on trust, not just talent, and we work very hard to make sure that shows up in how we collaborate, celebrate, and push each other forward. That means creating space for people to actually get to know each other, whether it’s sitting with someone new at lunch, swapping stories during coffee breaks, or joining a monthly team activity where work doesn't even come up in a conversation.

We think through every detail, from the first day you join and are welcomed by a team breakfast, to how you’re onboarded onto projects, and how your accomplishments are celebrated and valued. And we make sure all of those small rituals continue long after the first week.

If this sounds like the kind of team you’d like to be part of, check out our open positions, or reach out with a spontaneous application if you don’t see the exact role you’re after.
