Visium welcomes Tomislav Ilicic as Partner and Andrea Tassistro as Chief Transformation Officer

Visium, the leading AI partner for science-based companies, is pleased to announce two strategic additions to its leadership team.
Dr Tomislav Ilicic joins Visium as Partner following a career spanning science, industry and AI. After completing his PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of Cambridge, Tomislav started his career at Roche, where he rose to become Global Head of Data Science, leading work focused on manufacturing operations and bringing AI into the shopfloor. He subsequently joined Accenture, where he worked on the deployment of agentic AI across clinical development, drug discovery, enterprise functions and diagnostics.
Tomislav has long been an advocate for collaboration between industry and academia and maintains a broad network across leading technology companies and academic institutions.
At Visium, Tomislav will help shape the company’s strategy and expand its impact across life sciences, bringing together deep scientific and industry expertise with practical experience deploying AI in complex, regulated environments.
Alongside Tomislav, Andrea Tassistro joins Visium as Chief Transformation Officer, bringing a track record as an entrepreneur, technology founder and transformation leader.
Andrea founded Foodetective in Geneva in 2018, subsequently renamed PowerAPI, building an infrastructure platform that connected more than 300 vendors and point-of-sale providers and served more than 52,500 businesses across Europe. The company raised approximately $10 million across two funding rounds, including investment from GFS (Google Ventures).
More recently, Andrea served as Chief Transformation Officer at Owkin, where he led transformation initiatives as the company scaled its data platform and product business accelerating the sales approach from services to products.
At Visium, Andrea will focus on leading and accelerating Visium’s go-to-market organisation.
The two appointments reflect Visium’s next phase of growth: combining deep life-sciences and AI expertise combined with transformation and commercial capabilities required to deploy AI at scale.
